Check out Holly’s newest release “the high heart”!
In her own words:
“Sometimes when our beloveds pass, we can still feel them, watching over us.
In my experience, they have all shown up in different, varied ways; each one, unique.
I have found my mother in the high heart, or, the thymus, which in spiritual anatomy holds the soul-level bonds, where divine communion, understanding, and the highest levels of creativity occur.
My memory of my mother hearing this piece for the first time is crystal clear to me; indeed it did happen “almost yesterday”:
We were alone at my sister’s house; just me and her and the family dog. She was in the adjoining room, and it was my turn to sit with her; she had been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer a mere two weeks previous, and was receiving the very best of shared family care, and at this time was doing so well, before declining rapidly in the ten weeks from diagnosis until August 3. I sat at their Steinway B and started working this out and she called from the other room “what is that?” which was always a sign I was on to something good, and I responded (choked up, because I already knew this song was for HER, for us, in the highest of places, the most sacred) “just something I’m working on; haven’t figured out a name yet” and I soaked in the moment as the chords flowed throughout the house on this humid June morning, in our Kentucky.
My mother gave me many intangible gifts: the awareness of how God shows up best as “the wild card,” and how tapping into this with our faith and trust can move mountains (“You can do anything; there are no limits; shoot for the stars!”); the rewards of having a deep compassion for others; and the inherent wisdom that comes from living a life true to one’s internal compass.
May you relax into ‘the high heart,’ the third release of the upcoming EP “girl with the grey blue eyes,” and may it take you into that divine remembering within yourself; that reassuring place of quiet and internal peace †”

Holly’s thoughts on her album, “craeyola”:
This is my fifth album; my first since 2020. With the release of a body of work, one gets to really tell a story, with each piece depicting a chapter; a story within the story.
While I take liberties with this album and condense it into eighteen years from newborn to early adulthood, these stages can occur at any time in our lives when we are striking out into something new, meeting life’s challenges and teachings along the way.
One thing I’ve learned is that the same theme can play out at different times with different players, allowing us many opportunities to finally learn the wisdom of the experience. 😉
And, that when we are given an open door, it is almost 100% going to involve us stretching beyond our comfort zone to fully go through it.

“Your sound is peaceful and raw in the most beautiful way - each track feels like an open window into something honest and deeply felt.”
